Book about the design process of the Berchem Folded Sans project. Following a design competition launched by NMBS Holding (De Nationale Maatschappij der Belgische Spoorwegen) with the support of Design Vlaanderen (now Flanders DC) and the Middelheim Museum Antwerp, visionandfactory was selected to design an architectural intervention for a new bicycle shed in Antwerp. The studio came up with an alienating typographic concept based on the power of language, with a lyrical play on words where the letters are half visible on the outside and fully visible on the inside (partly on the glass, partly on the floor) of the building. Not in the sense of pure poetry, but rather as a linguistic joke referring to the cyclist's thoughts during the daily ride to or from the station.
